  British Revolutions: Kings/Que
(OLLI Class and Events)

Britain led the way into the modern era – birthplace of Representative Democracy, Religious Diversity, and Industrial Revolution. Sweeping through four centuries of British history, this course highlights the key revolutionary stages and their leading characters – both the respectable and less-than-respectable individuals who set the tone for their times. Featured rulers include Elizabeth I and George III with counterpoints provided by notable knaves like Sir Francis Drake and Oscar Wilde. Lectures will be augmented by extensive visuals.
